Pakistan Startup Cup Grand Finale: Up-Close & Personal [2018-2019]

Pakistan Startup Cup 2018-19 by TIE Islamabad in collaboration with US Embassy ended up with Startups from Peshawar putting a big fat dent on the entrepreneurial landscape of Pakistan by securing the 1st Position and 2nd Runner Up Position. The Grand Finale pitching session was held in Marriott Islamabad on 13th June 2019.

Winner of Pakistan Startup Cup title was secured by Nano It Solutions from Peshawar, 1st Runner Up position was secured by DeafTawk from Islamabad and 2nd Runner Up Position was a tie between Aprus Technologies from Peshawar and Receipt Bot from Karachi.

Pakistani Startup Saving 9 WINS BIG in Columbia Business School’s Tamer Fund

Saving 9 has won Columbia Business School’s Tamer Fund for Social Ventures and has been selected for investment by its board of esteemed social venture capitalists and leaders. The Tamer Fund for Social Ventures basically provides seed grants to nonprofit, for-profit, and hybrid early-stage Columbia University affiliated social and environmental ventures. Social or environmental ventures are defined as those working to solve a social or environmental problem. Saving 9 was shortlisted after a rigorous process that began with over 130 teams from around the world

WECON: Women Entrepreneurship Conference 2019

The third Women Entrepreneurship Conference took place at Islamabad Marriott Hotel which was attended by some of the most influential and iconic entrepreneurs of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. WECON has been taking place annually since last 3 years however during its third edition WECON Portal and WECON Tribe were launched in a ceremony during the conference.
