10xC is a Karachi based tech accelerator and seed venture Fund launched by Planet N Group of Companies. Saif Akhtar (Cofounder & CEO) explained the startup culture at 10xC and how the teams are selected, the very concept of tech startups and how they are encouraging young entrepreneurs who are willing to work on concepts and ideas by providing them with some funding, networking and support.

“We simply give them a little cash (Rs 10 lakhs) and 4-months of our full support to show us what they can do. If their company grows, regardless of whether it’s during the program or after, we can invest more money (Rs 1 Crore). You’ll see our model is the most Founder-friendly in Pakistan.”

He further explained: “Our ideal Founders are between the age of 22 and 32 with a desire to build something cool with tech! Show us you can execute and we’ll show you just how much fun it is to work for yourself.”

Basic Requirements:

• Must be incorporated or will be incorporated in Pakistan.
• Must have a minimum of 2 Founders – a CTO (Technical) & CEO (non-Technical).
• Must be a technology company with a hardware- or software-related solution.

Evaluation Criteria:

• Team – Can they get the job done?
• Market – How much of your market can you realistically capture?
• Timing – Are people ready to pay for your product/service?
• Traction
• Revenue – Is the company making money?
• Users/Market Share
• Intellectual Property – How hard will it be for a competitor to copy their technology?
