The Asia Foundation, in partnership with Teamup and the National Incubation Center, is conducting “Barhta Pakistan – Ecopreneurship Challenge” to promote business ideas that can help crack Pakistan’s sustainable development challenges.
It aims to promote business ideas that can help crack Pakistan’s sustainable development challenges. Startups that are working on or have a business idea that can help solve problems related to one or more of the following Sustainable Development Goals [SDG] are the participants of this Ecopreneurship Challenge:
SDG 6: Ensuring access to clean water and sanitation for all
SDG 7: Affordable and clean energy for all
SDG 11: Sustainable cities and communities
SDG 12: Responsible production and consumption
SDG 13: Taking urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts
SDG 14: Conservation and sustainable use of the oceans, seas and marine resources
SDG 15: Sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation, halt biodiversity loss
Diversity and inclusion are central to everything , Barhta Pakistan has invited applicants from rural areas and smaller cities, especially women, transgenders and youth to be a part of this initiative.
